Anyone who has dealt with the Cambridge Cat Shelter run by the Humane Society knows that their treatment of animals is far from humane. The shelter is a kill shelter and often kills the cats before even looking for a home. Sometimes it will even be immediately after the cat is brought to them. Kittens are often euthanized immediately. If you go in, you can see how unclean the building is. Now, they will not even release an animal that is being requested for adoption. 

A local rescue was recently given a litter of small kittens unaware that the kittens' mother was taken to the Guernsey Humane Society. When the rescue called to inquire about the mother, they confirmed that she had been brought to them. They attempted to adopt her and were told no and brushed off. At this point, they are refusing to call the rescue back. This is completely unacceptable.

We would like to get this Humane Society shut down until they can properly care for the animals. If they cannot care for them, then it should be shut down permanently. Please help us so that we can know that the local animals will be cared for properly.
