this emoji represents spaghetti bolognese, but is that all there is to pasta?

the answer is, no.

there is much more to pasta, for the basics we can have at least mac and cheese; but of course we also wish to have penne, linguine etc. appearing in different dishes. 

why is this one emoji NOT ENOUGH?

this emoji, spaghetti bolognese, is merely one of the many different famous pasta dishes. in this emoji, red sauce and spaghetti are used and more other pasta dishes are of course widely known as well. different pasta dishes might symbolise completely different traditions, and only having one pasta emoji is discrimination against the other traditions as well as pasta types. 

what consequences can this emoji lead to?

since there is only one pasta emoji, there would be stereotypes that there can only ever be one type of pasta. just like us humans, pastas have different types. human emojis have different skin tone, different genders to choose from, for the reason to decrease possibilities of all kinds of discrimination towards ourselves. however, this has not been done for pasta, α very loved food by most. this discrimination of pasta types could potentially lead to incorrect mindsets such that this is the only ‘good’ pasta that ‘truly deserves’ to be featured as an emoji. we all know that this isn’t true, and that’s why we are bringing this to α stop.
