Change the morning playlist at 97.1 , WDRV, the Drive in Chicago.
The on-air personalities at 97.1, the Drive, are the most engaged and interactive entertainers on the Chicago airwaves today. Funny, knowledgeable, hard-working, are just a few of the outstanding qualities they display every day. However, if anyone were to read through the social media fan pages, they would see that the biggest fans of the station have been requesting a change in the morning playlists for some time now. We're tired of hearing the same songs over and over. We would enjoy some"deeper cuts". If we never heard Steven Seagal singing again that would be great! We would love to help make 97.1 WDRV, THE NUMBER ONE STATION IN CHICAGO. We cannot believe that you're not there already. Per the webpage at https://www.robertfeder.com/2021/08/10/chicago-radio-ratings-wbbm-newsradio-pat-cassidy-back-top/?fb_comment_id=4485200361545197_4485560731509160
, 97.1 WDRV is tied for 3rd. Entertainment should be driving the airwaves, not news! We're tired of the news, except when it's delivered by Jill Egan.
We, Driver Nation, firmly yet respectfully, submit this petition to Hubbard Radio and the executives at 97.1, WDRV (also our northern cousins at 96.9) to see that the morning playlist be expanded to include more of the artists and deeper cuts from the rock and roll era. You're missing way too much of the good stuff. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
