Warren County, TN Remove Michael Martin

The Issue

We, the undersigned, do hereby demand the removal of Michael Martin from the office of Chairman of the Health and Welfare Committee of Warren County, TN. We do not feel he has the qualities or knowledge to perform his duties as required by this office. His lack of empathy, knowlege of policy and blatant disreguard for the beliefs of Warren County residents in regards to animal control is deplorable. The efforts of local residents have made it possible to save this county thousands of dollars and hundreds of lives of unwanted, neglected, abused, sick and starving animals. His words and actions are undermining their efforts to continue this life saving venture.
In the month of January, the facility adopted out 23 animals and sent 74 animals to rescue groups. Two cats died of natural causes and one cat was euthanized by a vet due to health issues. No healthy animals were euthanized to make this an 83% adoption rate.
According to Health and Welfare Committee chair Michael Martin, the facility should not emphasize animal rescue and animal adoption.
We aren’t supposed to be in the adoption business at all really he stated.
If your animal family member is lost, do you want him to determine if it lives or not?
