This is animal abuse. On hot days many of these horses pass out from exhaustion. No animal should be ridden or used as a form of transportation. Instead of supporting this money hungry business that does not care about the well being of these horses, rent a citibike or simply walk around the beautiful park. ASPCA has said carriage horses are never meant to live and work in today's urban setting. It is not ethical for these animals to pull hundreds of pounds nine hours a day or more. It gets worse. The horses are sold in auctions where they can be killed and then their meat is sold. This is not okay.
