Viking Artefacts Over a Millennium Old are Being Turned Into Scrap Metal Because of Multi-Culturalism

While multi-culturalism is not a bad thing, abandoning the past to try - emphasis on the word 'try' - to secure an equal future is completely wrong.

We need to know our past and have access to our past so as to make a better future. Throwing away our artefacts and ignoring our past does not change who we are supposed to be.

Sweden's Prime Minister Alice Bah Kuhnke has demanded that artefacts from the Viking era should be turned into scrap metal so as to appear more friendly to other nations, regarding the Vikings' history of raping, pillaging and destroying.

First of all, it was not just the Vikings who carried out these practices. Every empire or large country in history, everywhere in the world, from every race, carried this out at some point or another.

Secondly, the majority of Sweden's population is of Viking descent. This would be erasing their history, especially if they do not have a say in this.

Thirdly, destroying artefacts from another time because they do not reflect the views and aims of a modern government is EXACTLY what ISIL have been doing. If the Swedish government go forward with this scheme, they are becoming just as bad as them.

I have Viking heritage flowing through my blood and I simply cannot stand idly by and let what my ancestors worked hard on for hours, days or even weeks or months be destroyed and used as scrap metal, as if it were common shrapnel.
