Dr. Wilkinson is the only Pediatrician at HSHS Medical Group in Highland. He is being let go because he was not charting correctly…? I am not even sure what this means, but he is the type of doctor that truly cares and will spend the necessary time needed with EVERY patient. Isn’t this what the board of directors wants from a doctor?

My three children have gone to him since they were babies and it could be weeks or months since our last visit and he remembers all the details from the prior visit. I have countless family members and friends who trust Dr. Wilkinson to care for their families.

When this decision was made did the board discuss how many families and individuals this would impact in such a small community? I am sure this was made based on business decision, but I would like to ask the board of directors if they considered how many patients they are willing to lose if Dr. Wilkinson is no longer at HSHS?
