Petition updateEquality for all people with Type 1 DiabetesLibre 4 All Strategy - Setting a Date to present our petition

Grainne, Myself (Davina), and Liz have continued our work on the “Libre 4 All Strategy”
( credit to Grainne for the catchy name ) we have been doting the i’s and crossing the t’s re: the discrimination on the basis of age when excluding adults from the reimbursement of the Libre on the Long Term Illness scheme.
Email just sent to Minister Harris’s office today, there has been absolutely no communication from him to us to date.
i would like to inform you that on 18Th April we "members and delegates of the diabetes community in Ireland" will be coming to the Dail to present our Petition to Minister Harris. In his absence we will present it to Frank O Rourke TD and Mary Butler TD, who will recieve it from us.
However we feel that in the absence of Minister Harris you should also appoint someone to represent Minister Harris on the day.
It has been very disappointing for us that Minister Harris has not communicated with us to Meet and receive our petition as our current Minister for Health and the person who made the announcement on 19th January that the Freestyle Libre would be reimbursed by HSE on the Long Term Illness scheme for children and you adults only and discriminating against the rest of our community on the basis of age.
Since that date there has been no further communication or announcement from Minister Harris. our Petition now has over 16,000 signatures which is a substantial number representing the Diabetes community.
Please include this Date to the ministers Diary ..........
