The Howe HS is the only campus in Howe’s ISD that does not allow students to wear shorts.  
There are numerous kids that prefer to wear shorts, year round even, and are forced to be uncomfortable in the classroom while trying to learn.  

The archaic crutch of “professionalism” is leaving the adult workforce as many employers and businesses allow employees to wear shorts without detriment to professionalism.  

Every other school in our area allows shorts in their dress code with a length stipulation.  Some are “fingertip”, others are a certain number of inches from the knee.  

Please consider signing the petition, if not for your kid, a kid that wants to wear shorts to high school.
