I just want to write this story, just for some context and understanding. For the next season. Just so Wolves don't have decisions go against us. I am going to bullet point these points. And just explain my reasons for petitioning the FA.
1. The first thing that upset me, was that we could have beat Liverpool in the cup, yet we had offside given against us. Even though it wasn't offside. I saw this as deliberate favouritism towards Liverpool. And deliberate and intentional disfavouritism towards Wolves FC. We had won that game, fair and square. This just highlights, how the elites, get to be kept at the top. Whilst Wolves, get kept at the bottom. Because we always want a Liverpool, Man City, and Arsenal at the top. It's designed that way, so the elite don't feel dispowered, and offended. If you discredit the elite, you are no longer part of the elite, and if you credit the elite. You are in their gentleman's club, and have access to their accessories. Ie, cheese, wine, hospitality meals, and maybe other things.
2. So, under Lopetegui, there was a clear problem with the FA. I had written about this, and been kind, considerate and thoughtful. I had praised certain FA officials. I had explained that my grievance is with the FA as a whole, and not one individual. I had explained that I thought Michael Oliver, and Andrew Madley were good refs. I had explained the positives in the situation. I had given lengthy descriptions, as to the good bits of the FA. Yet, the fans didn't want to hear the FA get any praise whatsoever. So, this kind of made me think, well, maybe as a blanket rule. I should stick to the points. And not give them mixed signals. So I stuck with the blanket response, of giving them constuctive feedback.
3. They have then taken that constructive feedback, and then got defensive. And discredited Wolves even more. Because nobody likes complaints, especially people who are in that level of authority. So they get annoyed, and they get vexxed, and they hear Gary O'Neil. On the touchline. And when O'Nana fouled Sasa. Despite Gary being very outspoken during this event. It was clear, that he took offence, to Simon Hooper, not giving the penalty. VAR did check the penalty, yet Simon Hooper was unable to officiate the process of VAR. And was unable to speak with Stockley Park, even though communications weren't down. And he was able to speak with them. He ignored their clear statements, that it should be looked into. He paid them no time into this, he cut them off, and cut the Wolves players, off. From communication. The reasons why he did this was unknown, maybe it was human error. Yet, he failed to make proactive steps with VAR. To ensure this was looked into.
This is a very short list, of a really long and complex ordeal, that I as a Wolves fan am going through. And I really would wish the FA would understand the points. Rather than get hot heated, at the fans response. If we had been playing on a level playing field. And if the responses were objective, and not bias towards one team. And if the officials had done their due diligence, which they hadn't. And if the FA had considered this wasn't personal. This was purely, me trying to get the beautiful game back. Then, anyone with any shred of decency or understanding. Would be able to navigate through this, and be aware of the points.
Just on a side note. I have zero control over what other football fans do. No control. Some of them may be a bit more vocal than me. And may take things too far. I have no control over this. I also, have no control over what they do, and can't dictate what football fans do. As this would then dilute my argument against the FA. And cause discord amongst the fan bases, and I think we all want to be singing in unison, from the same hymn sheet. That VAR is bad. So, this is what we are trying to do.
I am not a bad guy, with exposing something, that I saw, that other people may have failed to see. It's just, my powers of observation, and my ability to see these things. Brought me here. Now, if you want praise, and want this to happen. Then be consistently objective, stop favouring the bigger teams. Reduce human errors, and actually take this seriously. As opposed to. 'Oh just one of them'. Every time there is a complaint. Because I could understand if a few people were saying it. Yet, if hundreds of thousands of people are saying they want VAR scrapped. Then, you have to actually understand the gravity of the situation. And for the record, like I said. I am not interested in listening to Jamie Carragher, and Sky Sports. I don't want to listen to their banter about orange cards. The fact they even brought this up, annoyed me. I wish they could stick to the facts, and avoid talking along the lines of conjecture.
Before I go, let me leave you with this rhetorical question. Is it an ''FA For All''? 'Or An FA For Some?' Because if it is just an 'FA For Some'. Which is clearly is. Then, as much as you love the elite clubs, maybe you should focus on objective decision making. And making the FA for everyone.
