Very good meeting this morning on the proposed minimum grid bicycle infrastructure for Punta Gorda. The City Staff is to be commended on the preparation, the moderators for each break out group did a yeoman's job of keeping the folks on topic. I will also applaud the nearly 100 citizens that made a point of attending the meeting whether they were in favor of or opposed to the proposal. I think everyone learned a lot, maybe got a different perspective on where and why these changes are being looked at and many offered ideas and insight that others may not have considered. With your help, the proposed bicycle plan stayed alive and we can work on the next step forward. Thank you all and with your support we demonstrated that a bicycle transportation system for Punta Gorda is a viable and needed addition.
