Justice for Bear

Justice for Bear
The Issue
On a very cold winter day in Kokomo, Indiana, a dog whom we now are being told had the name of "Bear" was allegedly taken to an alley. There, he was placed in a cage and shot. To the best of our understanding, the cage was transported next to a local highway. The dog was still alive. A Good Samaritan stopped to help and called the local animal control. Unfortunately the dog did not survive.
We want justice for Bear. We are asking for due process. We want you to arrest and apply the penalties to the shooter in accordance with the law. We believe that this act may fall under the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act. If so, the FBI needs to be involved.
We want to send a strong message to the Howard County Sheriff's Department, Mayor Tyler Moore and Howard County Commissioner Paul Wyman that we expect not only justice for Bear, but for active discussion regarding fines/arrests for animal cruelty.
Your constituents are grieving. We await your timely response to this matter. We viewed a photograph of a dog dying from gunshot wounds and we want to send a clear message that this is not okay and we expect due process and that henceforth, the Sheriff's dept, Howard County and the City of Kokomo become very proactive about instances of dog cruelty.
