On Halloween almost all students will be doing some form of Halloween activity. This will occupy most of their time on that night and being a school night, many students will not get their work done for the next day. This is why having no school the next day will benefit not only students but also teachers as many of them have children of their own who will be participating in Halloween activities. Students will be tired and unprepared for the following day due to their inevitably long night on Halloween. By closing school the following day, students will be able to enjoy their holiday thoroughly without the thought of their homework or school the next day in the back of their minds.
