Safe drinking water. A basic human right most of us don’t think twice about. For you reading this petition, safe drinking water is just something you have always had. Yet, across Indonesia, around 197 million people still cannot rely on safe drinking water in their daily lives.  

For most, this means their water is contaminated with pollutants, bacteria, sewage and even E.coli. Even for those with access to piped water are still advised not to drink it without filtration. 

This black hole in lack of access to safe water, has led to millions across Indonesia to rely on plastic bottles, through no fault of their own local communities in Indonesia are adding to an already enormous plastic crisis. These bottles pollute rivers, ecosystems and the ocean. Locking communities into an unfair cycle of plastic waste and environmental harm. 

A Practical Solution - But I Need Your Help

One of the most immediate and sustainable ways to break this cycle is through rainwater harvesting systems. These systems collect and filter rainwater, giving communities direct access to clean drinking water without relying on plastic bottles. I am building my first unit in a remote local school in Lombok on the 1st of April - but building them takes funding and i don't want to stop at just one school!

That's where you come in. Alongside signing this petition, I have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise the money needed to construct these rainwater harvesting systems. Every contribution goes directly toward building real, lasting solutions helping people and the environment.
