How Bajaj Finance illegally seized my car—despite full payment. A true story of harassment

The Issue

1️⃣

I purchased a Tata Punch (MP09 ZR 8911) in good faith from Mr. Nilesh Sharma & Mr. Shailesh Sharma in July 2025.

Paid the entire ₹6,10,000 through bank transfer, UPI & cash, with full sale documents, RC, and receipts.

I am a bonafide owner.

2️⃣

Despite this, on 15th August 2025, Bajaj Finance agents forcibly seized my car —

❌ No prior notice

❌ No court order

They came with goons and threats, violating every rule under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and RBI Fair Practice Code.

3️⃣

Bajaj Finance claims there were dues by the previous owner.

But legally, a financer cannot seize a vehicle from a third-party buyer who has made full payment and holds legal documents.

RBI guidelines are clear — repossession requires due process & notice, not roadside gundagardi.

4️⃣

I filed complaints with

📩 RBI Ombudsman (No. N202526004014936)

📩 National Consumer Helpline

📩 Bajaj Finance Grievance Team

But instead of justice, I got false assurances, no vehicle, and endless harassment.

5️⃣

Bajaj Finance’s illegal conduct has caused me

💔 mental distress

💸 financial loss

🧑‍💼 reputational damage

They have acted like above the law, with no accountability.

6️⃣

I have demanded from Bajaj Finance:

⚖️ Return of my vehicle

💰 ₹2 crore compensation

✉️ Written apology

🚨 FIR against the persons involved

Yet, no response.

Instead, silence — as if consumer rights mean nothing.

7️⃣

This isn’t just my fight — it’s about every Indian consumer who’s bullied by big finance companies hiding behind legal jargon while violating basic human rights.

@RBI @FinMinIndia @nsitharamanoffc @PMOIndia — please take note.

NBFCs like Bajaj Finance cannot act like private mafias.

We deserve transparency, justice, and accountability.

9️⃣

#BajajFinance must be held responsible for

⚠️ Illegal vehicle seizure

⚠️ Harassment

⚠️ Violation of RBI’s Fair Practices Code

⚠️ Deficiency in service
