NIGERIAN SENATE BACKS UNDERAGE MARRIAGE

Senator Ahmad Sani Yerima finally got an ignoble clause in our constitution retained by the Senate. This act of himself and his colleagues will allow all married citizens to assume the status of an adult without specifying age limits. This act is to clandestinely give legal support to underage marriage. Meaning you are now free to marry a 3 year old girl. This bill will become law if the House of Representatives members support  it. We are in trouble.

This Bill must be thrown out. For a 50 year old man to marry a 2 years old girl is not only bad, it is sickening. This nonsense must stop
