Chris Stewart started this petition to House of Commons Executive Board and

Every member of the armed forces we send to war has to adhere to strict drug policies and is randomly tested to ensure they are fit to fulfil their duties.

The men and women in government who MAKE the decision to send these people to war are never tested for drug and alcohol use.

A bad decision formed in drug or alcohol misuse could have far-reaching costs for our servicemen and women.

The most powerful people in the UK do not have the opportunity to stand with the people they command and take these tests.

We want to offer the opportunity for the government to introduce mandatory random drug testing and screening for alcohol misuse whilst at work.

We are sure given the opportunity our MP's would gladly stand with our armed forces, policemen and women and other front line staff.

Government is surely strengthened by transparency?

WE ASK BORIS JOHNSON AND THE HOUSE OF COMMONS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TO INTRODUCE THIS MEASURE AS A SIGN OF SOLIDARITY WITH THE MEN AND WOMEN THEY COMMAND, AND ORDER INTO HARMS WAY.
