House of Blues: Fulfill Seattle The Needs of a Mid-Sized Music Hall

The Issue

Background: We are the undersigned live music fans in Seattle who are looking for intimate concert venues that are bigger than private clubs, but more affordable than indoor theaters. Seattle is one of America's most prestigious music scenes that didn't get official recognition until the 1990's decade.

Problem: Seattle doesn't have the respective criteria of an actual mid-sized music hall (2,000-2,500) that includes separated levels between a standing room floor and reserved seatings. For example, The Neptune Theatre (1,000) can sell out the most anticipated events very quickly even weeks ahead of its dates, which proves to be too small in this case, while some of us are avoiding the Showbox SoDo (1,800) because it forces the participating concertgoers to settle for a mosh pit.

Solution: Our goal is to have Live Nation fulfill the Seattle's specific criteria needs of a mid-sized music hall as either House of Blues or The Fillmore (2,000-2,500) with a win-win situation between the standing floor/pit and separated viewable levels, including the reserved seatings.

Benefit To Who? The opportunity to fill in the void will give the advantage to our concertgoers and artists alike who are looking for more intimate live music experience. So, please sign and share the petition for the better cause of our music scene in Seattle.
