In Hot Springs, Arkansas, and most other federal shelters in  AR, pitbulls and pit mixes, if surrendered, are given no chance at life or rescue. Even if a pit is picked up, and the family happens to be unable to get their dog, those pups suffer the same end. After speaking to animal control personell, I have been told that this is because of their agressive nature, but mostly because of their "locking jaw".

PITBULLS DO NOT HAVE A LOCKING JAW!!! (GOOGLE IT PLEASE) Their jaws have the SAME bone structure as ANY OTHER DOG'S! 

Due to these things, these dogs (even if they just happen to LOOK like a pit) are not given any chance at rescue. Even pitbull rescue groups are unable to save them! THEY DIDN'T ASK FOR THIS! They didn't ask to be born a certain breed!

PLEASE! IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO KEEP A PIT DUE TO HARD CIRCUMSTANCES (life happens, I know, and sometimes it's not possible for us to keep our furry companions) *DO NOT* SURRENDER TO THE ANIMAL SHELTER IN HOT SPRINGS ARKANSAS! *YOU WILL SEND YOUR DOG TO ITS DEATH*

I believe, that as a young person, we all need something to stand up for. These dogs can't speak for themselves. Please help me be their voice! I am a proud Pitbull owner. My baby, Hollow, is the BEST dog, and it breaks my heart to think of the other pits and pit mixes in shelters, who are just as amazing as my girl, being sent to an unmerciful end. 

My goal, is to AT LEAST allow rescue groups to come and get these dogs, if not allow for adoption TO THE RIGHT HOMES!

BE THE VOICE TO THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE ONE.
