White Turf is a horse race which takes place in St. Moritz (Switzerland) every year since 1907. The horses must run on ice until they either reach victory or death. In February 2017, in fact, a crack in the ice caused the death of a horse and hospitalisation of the jockey.

However old and traditional this race might be, we are going towards an advanced society, things change and we have to deal with it. One of the changes we want to achieve is the shift towards more humane entertainment events, where all actors are willing and able to make a conscious decision to take part in the show.

This is why with this petition, we would like to ask the current sponsors to stop sponsoring this barbaric event because, however rich and posh the spectators might wish to be, this is morally a low level of entertainment.
