September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. Here is a note from Janine:
"September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Sure wish someone had told me the signs & symptoms. That's why I want to share with you. Men reading this who have mothers, wives, or sisters, please share!! From someone who found out almost too late!!!! Please Read!!!! The signs are: a persistent bloating (over 2 wks), abdominal, pelvic, or lower back pain, difficulty eating/feeling full too quick, abdominal swelling (like you are pregnant), abnormal bleeding, urgent or frequent need to urinate, change in bowel habits. You may not have all of these signs, maybe just a few, but I urge you before it is too late PLEASE see a gynecologist. They call it the silent killer but more and more the word is getting out and I want to do my part. I have almost lost my life twice over this because by time it was found I was almost a stage 4. Please share. September is the Awareness month but I think it should be every month. Please print this out and post it on a mirror or somewhere handy in case one day YOU are realizing something is wrong." Thanks, Janine
We have raised a little over $3400 towards Janine's expenses for the life-saving surgery Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield refused to allow coverage. The balance owed is still $36,000.00. Every dollar donated helps. If you can spare $5, $10, $20, whatever, it would be so appreciated. If you've already given, thank you. Please share this with your friends. The fight is not over yet.
Help spread the word! Thanks, Joyce
