Just wanted to send out another update saying thanks again and thanks to all those who have joined since my last update. Clearly this petition and ask for change in legislation is long overdue. Please continue to share, share, share and let’s make this go viral so we cannot be ignored! I’ve also added links to the newest news stories that have been published about our cause. It’s been a busy day!
As an FYI I will be interviewed live on 107.7fm Pulse Mornings on Tuesday August 28 at 7:15am and then I will also be on the Linda Steele show on CKNW 980 on Tuesday August 28 at 3:35pm if you care to listen in or even call in with your take and story!
We see just how passionate people are about this and I do plan to respond and comment to those who have shared but I haven’t had time yet with this surge of media requests. Do know that I have been reading as I go and it is truly energizing me.
The next action plan is to figure out how you can reach me directly if you so choose (though I think on Facebook works as a few people seem to have messaged me via Facebook) with your contact information so that when it comes time to do the paper-based petition signing we can reach you and all those you know to gather them up!
Other ideas I’m working on are setting up a formal group to take this agenda forward as I see it is a big project;) If you have skills to offer to the cause (eg. marketing, communications, logo design, webpage design and/or hosting, writing, publishing, law, research, past experience...) or just a keen heart for the fight (like me) then please let me know and we will mobilize your skill to push this to the limit and make change happen!!!
