In regards to the Decision of taking Exams on 25th June
In regards to the Decision of taking Exams on 25th June
The Issue
This petition is in regard to the reconsideration of the dates of examination given to the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR.
Following are the points to be raised:
1. The college expects the students to prepare for an examination which has a syllabus that requires approximately 6 months of preparation in 15 days.
Online classes were not as productive and resourceful as the regular offline classes.
2. The college verbally promised to provide atleast 10 days of offline classes, prior to the examinations.
3. The college showed a dicey approach towards the decision-taking part which created a panic on the students' side.
4. In the pursuit of completion of the semester under unfortunate circumstances, the college has neglected the prime motive of education which is learning.
5. By showing such a casual approach towards a vital part of academics our own motto has been defied (Excellence and Service).
A few things which students expect the management to consider before taking decisions which directly influence their career and performance:
1. The college should give adequate time (atleast a month) to the students to prepare for the examinations with respect to the syllabus.
2. Rather than rushing through things and procedures, the college should focus on the students' intellectual development and learning.
Respected Authorities, this is a request that all your fellow Christites wanted to convey to you. Please take our suggestions positively, it's our college as well and we'll never think of anything negative regarding the college.
