Mauritius. A Paradise Island that hides a brutal secret...

Dogs caught in nets are thrown into a van with other dogs and taken to the pound.  Over the years, covert filming has shown dogs crammed together, left for days to fight for scraps of food, and, because of the squalid conditions and lack of sustenance, attacking and eating their kennel mates. Terrified and whimpering, dogs await their deaths inside filthy, faeces-encrusted cells - on this so-called paradise island.

Dogs are brutally killed by lethal injection into the heart without anaesthesia, and some die immediately, while many others try to get up again, it is a hit-and-miss affair.  It's unimaginable that such a painful torment is possible. 

Despite calls for tourist boycotts, and offers of help to change the situation, the Mauritian Government shows no mercy or any willingness to change its inhumane ‘Catch & Kill’ policy. 

Despite animal welfare groups like the incredible Soi Dog Foundation​, PETA, World Animals Voice, PAWS Mauritius, International Animal Rescue and countless others campaigning, nothing has changed, and to make change happen, they need your support. 

I call on you to make the pledge to boycott Mauritius as a holiday destination, and make everyone you know aware of this situation, and share this petition far and wide.

Let us make it clear to The 'Right Honourable' Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius that THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE and that all dogs must be spayed and not tortured! Help STOP THE ABUSE today!
