Bruce "The King of Chasewater" was more than just a local stag; he was a symbol of community spirit and natural beauty. His presence at Chasewater enchanted numerous visitors, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the good fortune to witness his majestic bearing. Bruce’s phenomenal presence became a cherished part of our shared landscape, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds in admiration and respect.

The recent loss of Bruce has left a void in our community. For years, he graced the grounds of Chasewater and nearby areas with his nobility and brought joy and inspiration to countless individuals. It is only fitting that we commemorate him and keep his memory alive with a statue placed at Chasewater. This statue would serve as a gesture of gratitude for the joy he brought and as a monument to the wildlife that enriches our lives.

Chasewater is not just a park; it's a sanctuary where people come to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to reconnect with nature and themselves. By erecting a statue of Bruce, we would honour his contribution to this haven and ensure his legacy endures for future generations to appreciate. This initiative would serve not only as remembrance but also as an educational tool to remind us of the importance of conserving our local wildlife and natural habitats.

We urge the Chasewater Country Park administration to consider this statue as a tribute to Bruce and all he represented. Funding for the statue could be raised through community efforts, possibly using crowd-funding platforms, ensuring that it remains a collective endeavor that unites us all.

Please sign this petition if you believe that Bruce deserves a fitting tribute at the very place he called home, and where he made us feel at home in nature too.
