This petition has been reviewed and revised to reflect the new goal of amending school board policy #714 which details under “Unacceptable Memorials” that “Students who committed suicide” is not an acceptable memorial. This dehumanizes people who have struggled with mental illness and makes death due to mental illness something that is “unacceptable” or disgraceful to be mourned. Please help us petition to change this policy.
