(A tribute to Dam affected Homes) On a Sinking Home. I walk through the bank of the river shore There could I marvel a part of me submerged Day in and day out Bit by bit I break. I look around There I realize I must hurry. The very part of me is on that mountain. Songs of my love, The burning spark Rooted On the ground trailed to the beginning. My back hurts. My shoulder crunch. My vision blurry. I could not hear distinctly. Must I part with a heavy heart Never to return. Do I separate between my story and my life? The mark on every tree tells a thousand stories. Every pebble echoes the journey of my life. Thousands of footsteps side by side, vaporized. I have too much to loose In a flooding wavering light Of iron bars and boulders. Over the mountain I have a nest Leaking Shattering Strangers Soaked shivers Crumbled. Written by: Masopam Kasar
