Daveon Thompson is a lot of things, grandson, brother, son, and hard worker. One thing he isn't, is a murderer. January 30, 2018 was the day he was arrested. His trial started for the 2018 murder of Antonio Parham on September 2018 changed our lives.

They defamed his character and after 13 long and agonizing days and very questionable evidence, The judge declared a mistrial. He was jailed in January of 2018 and his trial did not happen until August 2019. Allegedly the prosecution has coached witnesses whose stories have changed several times and should be considered unreliable.

We have enough innocent black men behind bars. We need our fathers, sons, brothers and husbands out here with us. Daveon is innocent and deserves a fair and equal process. By signing this petition, you agree that justice should be served on Daveon's behalf. That he should be released on bond while awaiting his 2nd trial. He has a chronic condition that affects his lungs. As Michigan covid cases/deaths are rising among the jail/prison population. It's not fair. He should not be punished for a crime he didn't commit.
