Fight for Tyler Rambo’s Future!

The Issue

I am signing this petition today because I stand by the following:

I believe Mr. Rambo should be given the opportunity to prove himself in this community. It has been proven that he began his night on the 4th of July with no ill intent, but was forced to fight for his life. No person is trained for these types of situations. Your Honor, he was a kid and in the midst of fear and chaos he failed to respond within appropriate timing.

Tyler Rambo's life was forever changed in a matter of 7 seconds. Not days, not hours, not minutes…. seconds. This horrific incident has caused him to lose his legs and 2 years of his life, thus far. In the eyes of the medical field  Tyler is deemed 100% permanently disabled after being shot 14 times. No one else sustained significant injury. The continued punishment appears very much as cruel and unusual punishment and is no way a human being should be treated.

Your Honor, I believe jury got this one wrong and now  I am asking that you show leniency and grant this young man at the least, probation and an opportunity to have a future.

Sincerely, The people of the community

********On July 4th 2019, my son was tased and shot downtown in Coeur d Alene, ID. by the local law enforcement. He had been in an altercation with several individuals where he drew his weapon and fired a shot into the air, in order to save his life and was justified in the courts eyes to do so. After that shot all the individuals as well as my son ran. My son was walking when law enforcement approached him. He put his hands up and turned around. He showed them he had a fire arm and gestured he was going to set it down. His hands are still up when an officer tased him. His fire arm discharged due to being tased and 8 officers opened fire on my son shooting him 14x.

He survived. His legs were amputated in order to save his life but he lived. He was charged with 2nd degree attempted murder and aggravated assault as well as aggravated assault on law enforcement officers. He was acquitted of the 2nd degree attempted murder and aggravated assault. It was proven be bad a right to defend himself. But, what I think, was wrongfully convicted of aggravated assault on law enforcement officers. It doesn’t make sense for one to defend themselves and then turn on the police, because he wouldn’t and wasn’t. Trial proved there were many mistakes made on behalf of law enforcement with following protocols as far as mishandling evidence and taser experts testifying that Tyler was definitely tased as you can see him re act to being tased. Now, he is facing up to 75 years. Help me by signing this petition.
