We are writing to express our united support for the proposed LNG development in our community on Lelu Island. Please be our voice to express our will to our Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, and our Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna. We believe our community can have both fish and LNG. We have been patiently waiting, for the text of the Federal Environmental Assessment of the Lelu Island LNG proposal to be made public. As you are aware, the assessment has been a long and cautious process, to ensure the protection of the fish habitat.  During the assessment there have been groups who have come forward condemning the proposed LNG development before the facts from the assessment are known. Please understand our community waits to know. Growth, jobs, real-estate, and ultimately our families' future interests are waiting for this assessment.  Our community supports green energy and is concerned about climate change. We support jobs that will promote green energy and therefore, support Canadian LNG. We hope that Lelu Island will become the catalyst to open up Canadian natural gas to the world. Let us share Canada's most efficient fuel by having our community become Canada's first distributor of LNG.
