Honor Your Mission #1UpNutrition !
The Issue
1up Nutrition's website states their mission is:
"We will help you change your story by being part of your fitness journey."
This statement is only half true. In order to change one's story You should know how the story began, where it's headed, and the active role you or your products are going to play in it.
Hi. My name is Jacqueline Amira and I participated in the 8 week 1up Nutrition Summer 2023 transformation challenge. Throughout the course of 8 weeks I dropped about 20 lbs, trained for up to 5 hours a day, lost track of how many inches are gone because it's a lot and I did not place when the final results were revealed. I promoted this company on the podcast I produce, on my posts in my stories... I made the strongest case I could in eight weeks that I'd make one heck of an ambassador.
I also made sure to do my research on the Terms and Conditions of the #1uptransformationchallenge and it's severely lacking in the following areas:
1) Photo Submission Guidelines: There are NONE other than Front, Side, Back and with the card... Sorry that's not enough with $50k being advertised. Posing, Lighting, Acceptable clothing, No high heels because that's technically cheating as they elongate the body - all.of this should have been covered prior to the contest starting but that didn't happen.
2) Judging criteria used to determine what qualifies as "The Best Transformations" Again, with $50k being advertised the criteria should be crystal clear and it isn't..
3) Who specifically is judging this contest and what are these judges' credentials?
Let's get back on track. This petition isn't just about me. It's about everyone that puts their heart and soul into these 8 week challenges. I saw remarkable transformations from people that had better results than me in the same 8 weeks and they didn't place either. It got me thinking something isn't right here. My spider sense went off big time. I try to do the right thing most of the time and one of my strongest beliefs is if something doesn't feel right or fair stand up, fight back and that's what this petition is for. The criteria used by 1up Nutrition needs to change or be more concise and clear to the public. Considering how expensive their products are and how many people they have active in their community. If they can have 10 winners for each challenge, why can't they have 20? Why can't they have a people's choice winner? The only stories they care about is the "winners" that they pick... what about the rest of us that give them our hard earned money and work our butts off? They should care about us and our stories too. There's so much more that this company could do and they're not doing it and that needs to change. Yesterday, Today, Right. NOW.
To everyone that signs this petition, your support means more to me than you'll ever know. I'm not one of those people that's ok with being invisible or fading into the background. It takes courage to act. And most importantly, like a very wise man once said: It's not over until I win!
