Honor Wheelersburg High’s Legendary Coaches with Field Renaming

Honor Wheelersburg High’s Legendary Coaches with Field Renaming
The Issue
My name is Beth Branon, and my father, Coach Jack Branon, is a Pirate legend. His work with Wheelersburg High School’s baseball program was pioneering. He brought home our first State Championship win in 1996, marking a milestone in the school's history. After those initial triumphs, Coach Mike Estep upheld the tradition of Pirate Pride by clinching multiple state championships. Their shared pedigree is evident in their shared penchant for effective leadership, mentorship, and the infectious confidence and pride they instilled in every player under their tutelage.
Their legacy extends beyond the baseball diamond. Their extraordinary leadership reached into the lives of countless students, players, and community members. I have been fortunate to bear witness to the innumerable lives they have touched, a quality that remains a testament to their unique ability to nurture talent and camaraderie.
Today, we remember them as exceptional leaders, tireless advocates for their players, and builders of Champions. Tomorrow, we hope to have their names immortalized in the very place they wove their victories: the baseball field.
There can be no higher honor we bestow upon them than etching their names into the heart of Wheelersburg High School: its baseball field. Let's remember them as they deserve, at the heart of Burg Baseball. Please, join me - and countless grateful Pirates - in petitioning to rename the Wheelersburg High School Baseball Field to the Branon-Estep Field. Honor their memory, acknowledge their contribution, and cherish their victories by signing this petition today.
