The Issue

Honor the Purple Heart for ALL Combat Wounds

Veterans are dying of suicide every day. Everyone knows; and no one knows what to do. What can we do?

We have a solution that will save lives.

Whomever you may be, a President, a General, a statesman, we need you to act. Veterans need your help.

Combat incurred Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a real war wound – and society has matured enough to recognize it.

But what society does not know is that combat PTSD is a lifetime commitment it never goes away. Combat-scarred veterans commit suicide daily because the wound is that real; suffering for a nation who wants to help but does not know how.

America needs to formally honor them. At this moment in time, the Purple Heart is honored to veterans with wounds of war. It is gotten with sacred blood on the battlefield, and on the battlefield only. From war, and war only.

Thousands of us argue that as combat PTSD is a lifetime wound of war - a lifetime commitment to America - a tangible recognition of their daily sacrifice is needed: a full measure of gratitude that America honors them…and that suicide, that blood shed on the operating table from war is the same now as it was in war: whether it be a day, or decades afterward. It makes no difference.

We propose that the Purple Heart be honored for PTSD from War.

We ask for an Executive Order to be made for this end.

We propose that the Veterans Administration set up a new department explicitly for this purpose.

Because America must recognize the daily sacrifice of all warriors, or we will lose them.

This recognition is far more than a medal; that is secondary. It is a debt America has to her veterans recognized in entirety. An appreciation of their daily, living sacrifice for this nation - an acknowledgment of their living legacy.

This will change the heart of many, and with Providence, will cause less to take their own lives in the knowledge that America is with them even in the darkest hours.

Please vote YES! Please forward this as necessary. They need you. We need you. Make this a priority. Do not go to sleep until it is done.
