Honor Lamarcus, Antwan, & Santino at Graduation
The Issue
In our close-knit community of Ellenwood, GA, we've recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of three promising young individuals: Lamarcus Parks, Antwan Davis, and Santino S. These students were more than just names; they were friends, teammates, and beloved family members. Their aspirations reached beyond the stars, and their presence profoundly touched many of us.
As a community, it is vital to recognize and honor the lives of Lamarcus, Antwan, and Santino during our upcoming graduation ceremony. Graduation is a time to celebrate accomplishments and futures, but it should also be a time to acknowledge those who would have walked the stage with us, had fate given them the chance. These young men had dreams, hopes, and futures which were tragically cut short.
We urge the school administration to include a moment of remembrance or a special acknowledgment during the graduation ceremony. This could be in the form of dedicating a portion of the program to their memory or presenting honorary diplomas to their families. Such gestures would not only bring comfort to the grieving families but remind us of the enduring bonds of community and friendship.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the mourning process is integral in promoting healing after a loss. By honoring these students, we support their families and each other through this difficult time.
By signing this petition, you agree that Lamarcus, Antwan, and Santino have made a lasting impact on all our lives and deserve to be honored alongside their classmates. Let's come together to make this meaningful recognition a reality. Please sign and support this cause to ensure these deserving students are remembered at graduation.
