Honor Brandon Gant with a Street Sign

The Issue

Brandon Gant, my brother, was tragically killed at the corner of 18th and Minnesota Ave SE, Washington D.C. Brandon was on his way to bring medicine to our mom who was not feeling well. He was simply doing what any caring son or brother would do. On his way back, before he could complete the errand and head to work, Brandon was shot in the back of the head. His life was cruelly and unjustly taken.

Brandon's death has left a deep void in our family and community. He was more than a brother; he was a beacon of love and responsibility, always ready to help those in need. His senseless death is a reminder of the violence that plagues our streets and the urgent need to commemorate those we have lost due to such acts.

This petition seeks to honor Brandon's memory by installing a street sign at the exact location where he was killed – 18th and Minnesota Ave SE. This street sign would serve as a constant reminder to the community about the impact of violence and the importance of striving for peace.

Having a street sign in Brandon's honor will not only commemorate his life but also stand as a symbol of hope and resilience, advocating for a safer community. It will be a constant prompt to cherish life and promote positive change.

Please join our family, friends, and community in championing this cause by signing this petition. Help us remember Brandon and mark his contribution to our lives by supporting the installation of a street sign in his honor.
