Disappointed: The Government is going to introduce an unfair version of the parent visa.

Dear Supporters,
The Government has crushed our hopes for a fairer parent visa. They are going to introduce an unfair version of the long-stay parent visa. This visa is the complete opposite of the collation government's promised visa.
This visa will be available from next year as it passed the lower house and the Senate this week. It has an unjustified and unnecessary fee structure which does not make any sense.
Under the current visitor visa, parents can live with us for a maximum of 2 years in a three-year visa by paying $140 as visa fee, why are they required to pay $5000 as a visa fee for staying an extra year? If parents are not burdening Australian taxpayers by staying two years how they are going to be a burden by staying an extra year?
Why does a visitor visa need to be capped despite the written promises by the Government?
If our parents can visit and stay with us for 2 years without any assurance test under the current visitor visa, why do we need to pass the assurance test for an extra year?
Why do we have to pay an unaffordable fee when the Government promised a refundable bond, not the fee?
The Government is very well aware of the community `s response to this unfair visa but it is now clear that they don't care about us. We are looking for opposition support against this unfair visa and will let you all know once we have another update. Attached, is an image of the email that the promise was made in. This email was sent to me, just days before the last federal elections.
