Very Close to Victory

Dear Supporters,
I am thankful to you all for your excellent support in this campaign and because of this tremendous support, Australia is going to have a long stay parent visa by mid-2019. The Coalition Government who said "NO' to long stay parent visa in 2015, is now going to deliver it. It is a huge win for all of us despite the fact that we are not happy with the terms and conditions of this visa.
We have won the big battle of long-stay visa. Now it`s all about the removal of unfair conditions and making it affordable for all not just for the "rich".
I have requested the Government several times to remove these conditions but it is now clear that they will not. In a democratic process, we have requested the opposition parties to support us and stand with us against these unfair visa conditions.
Yesterday, I had a very productive meeting with the Shadow minister for Immigration Hon. Shayne Neumann, along with other community leaders at the Labor party national conference. I submitted our concerns with the new parent visa and our expectations towards the Australian Labor Party as the opposition. I am very hopeful for a good outcome from this meeting. I can assure you all that we are on the right path. I am thankful for our LSVP team, who have worked tirelessly towards this cause. I am also very thankful to Hon. Steve Georganas MP, Hon.Russell Wortley MLC, Hon.Dana Wortley MP and Monika Kumar for their continuous support for our parents.
