Dear friends and supporters of the language of Gods,
word of mouth is not enough, and waiting for the horse to come to the proverbial river will probably not work. In the age of smartphones and remote controlled gates, people expect everything to come to them at a click(pun intended).
Therefore, we need to take our petition to the doorsteps of all potential supporters and show them that e.g Sanskrit has ~975,000 words in use, as compared to ~600,000 for English. Or that Shaolin Karate was created by a Hindu monk who went to India, and is based on Kalaripayattu, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalaripayattu, ancient Indian Martial arts. Or that "pitra guru", Pythagoras Theorem originated in the Shulba Sutras (rope sutras, a rope divided into 12=3+4+5 gives a pythagorean triangle). There is so much more information that will be lost if we do not learn Sanskrit literature.
So friends, my request is, please keep sharing the link on your facebook, twitter, myspace, linked-in, hi5, badoo, and all other social media platforms. The only way to make Sanskrit in Mauritian schools a reality is to show the politicians that we are behind its introduction, as a sizeable segment of the population. So, please share the link below:
