To make the following amendments to the Regulations under the SPCA Act to be enacted before the upcoming election in September 2014.
The Issue
YES, I join
PFSAP, People For Stronger Animal Protection,
in requesting the following amendments to the NB SPCA Act and Regulations be enacted before the upcoming election in September 2014.
We propose legislation in line with the following recommendations:
(a) Unattended TETHERING of dogs shall only be allowed during daylight hours. No unattended tethering of dogs from dusk to dawn.
(b) Extreme temperature protection as to not pose a risk to the health and well- being of a dog (the temperature whereby a dog needs to be brought into a heated/cool environment). To adopt the Tufts Animal and Condition (TACC) Scale for assessing body condition, weather and environmental safety, and physical condition of dogs.
(c) Additional Required Standards to protect all dogs as outlined in the Code of Practice for the Care of Dogs in New Brunswick, which PFSAP’s recommendations have been previously submitted to Government.
~ This petition shall ensure Government takes the public seriously in their demand to have stronger protection in place for the dogs in our Province. Government should realize the importance of your voice regarding animal welfare.
~ Show the Government you will make your voice heard at the election polls.
~ PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION NOW. You will be part of a major movement in our Province and you will be part of making history, whereby these dogs will be better protected under the law.
Thank you, in the name of all the abused and neglected who cannot speak for themselves.
PLEASE NOTE: Only Animal friends of New Brunswick need sign, to help the chained/tethered and all dogs in our Province.
