This week, Jian Ghomeshi opened "Q" on CBC Radio with an essay criticizing the government's plan to create second class Canadian citizens. He mentioned our petition and said: "C-24 appears to divide Canadians into two classes: those that hold Canadian citizenship, and those that hold more than one passport. And somehow, that doesn't ring true. A citizen is a citizen, right? Citizenship is valued deeply both by those born here and those born in other lands." As we gather new signatures, we will deliver those too, to make sure Parliament hears all our voices calling for equal citizenship for all Canadians. This harmful law has passed the House of Commons and we are now working to stop it from passing the Senate, which is considering Bill C-24 right now.
