UFBU & IBA HAD VENGENCE AGAINST THE PRE-2002 RETIREES... A HISTORICAL TRUTH...
MY DEAR FRIENDS,
IT'S INDEED A FACT THAT TILL RECENTLY, UFBU HAD BEEN NURTURING VENGENCE AGAINST THE PRE-2002 RETIREES FOR HAVING ACCEPTED THE "SPECIAL VOLUENTARY RETIRENT SCHEME-2001" OFFERED BY THE BANK MANAGEMENTS AT THE INSTANCE OF THE GOVERNMENT.
VERY UNFORTUNATELY, EVEN SOME EXECUTIVES ALSO ECHOED THEIR VENGENCE IN TUNE WITH THE UFBU LEADERS WHILE ADREESING MEETINGS AT THAT TIME "INCITING " OUR OWN WORKING EMPLOYEE -BRETHERN AGAINST THEIR OWN COLLEAGUES WHO WENT ON VRS FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL REASONS.
THAT'S HOW IBA/UFBU OUT OF VENGENCE DISCRIMINIATED THE PRE-2002 RETIREES FOR 100% DA NUETRALIZATION BENEFIT FROM THE REST OF THE RETIREES.
IN THIS CONNECTION, I HAD EVEN EXCLUSIVELY HIGHLIHTED THIS POINT AMONG OTHER ISSUES, IN MY PREAMBLE AS ANNEXED HERE BELOW, TO THE GOVERNMENT PRECEDING THEIR CABINET COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 29 04 2020 THROUGH MY COMMUNICATION DATED 26 04 2020 ITSELF IN MY

During the period when the Legend statesman - Sri Atalji was leading the nation as Prime Minister (1999-2004) , many reforms were brought in, with infra structure development of the nation as its prime concern - ex: National Highway Authority of India, Nueclear Power Programme, reforms in Banking and Financial Sector including Agriculture, irrigation & power sectors.
Mechanization in Banking sector was one such a major task taken by the Legend Leader Atal Bihari Vajpayeeji.
As a consequence, To trim the Banking sector, the then Government, with a fore-vsion, introduced SPECIAL VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT SCHEME - "SVRS -2000" with a financial package in lieu of the left over service to lure the employees in the senior brackets / levels with the main object of down sizing excess manpower consequent to mechanization.
THIS SCHEME WAS EXCLUSIVELY MEANT FOR THE SENIOR BANK EMPLOYEES OF ALL CADRES.
However, this move of the Govt./Banks was vehemently opposed by the major bank unions (UFBU). Accordingly, In their (unions) perception, our accepting the scheme ( as intended by the Govt./Banks), was considered as a major crime on our part to become THEIR LONE TARGET OF ANGER AND THUS, THE LONE VICTIMS OF THE GOVERNMENT POLICY FOR NO FAULT OF OURS.
HAVING BEEN ANTOGANIZED, AT THE BEHEST OF THE WORKING UNIONS, WE HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO ISOLATION AND HUMILIATIONS AT EVERY POINT OF TIME SINCE THEN... "

REFERRING TO THE ABOVE, SRI K S RAO, CGM(Retd.) OF STATE BANK OF INDIA ACKNOWLEDGED MY EFFORTS IN HIS REPLY TO HIS COLLEAGUE:
"Dear Sri Srinivasan,
Thank you for your email, attaching the work done by Sri DS MURTI in bringing to the notice of various authorities the diversion of pensioner funds in banks.
So, all we have to do now is to approach the very same authorities again and press our case. We cannot leave it just to the Federations of Staff and Federations of Retirees, as they have their own self-serving priorities and agendas. So far as SBI pensioners are concerned, we have to intensify and deepen the efforts being made by our Sri Upadhyaya.
I was thinking that we have to bring our issues to the knowledge of various authorities anew, but
SRI D S MURTI has already done the doughty and valiant task of wakening up the authorities to our issues.
We just have to hammer these issues once again into their consciousness and achieve our goal.Best wishes,
