ON THE ABOVE THREE ISSUES, GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN IN FAVOUR OF MAKING AN ANNOUNCEMENT AS A PACKAGE & NOT ON A PIECE-MEAL SYSTEM.
THAT'S WHY THE FP ISSUE HAS BEEN KEPT PENDING BY THE GOVERNMENT AT THEIR END TILL DATE.

In order to sort out the long pending issue of Updation of Pension of Bank Retirees, the Indian Banks Association (IBA) formed a committee of eight General Managers of PSBs, Mr Kharwa, Chairman of SBI and Mr Sunil Mehta, CEO of IBA under the Chairmanship of Mr Raj Kiran Rai, Chairman of IBA. They met on 22nd June, 2021.

FOLLOWED BY THE ABOVE IBA COMMITTEE MEET HELD ON 22 JUNE, 2021., YET ANOTHER CRUCIAL MEETING WAS ALSO HELD ON 12 JULY, 2021 EXCLUSIVELY BETWEEN THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE IBA & MOF/DFS ONLY TO FINALISE THE REPORT WITH REVISED LOAD OUTLAY BY TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE ENHANCED AVERAGE LIFE-SPAN OF THE PENSIONERS (71 TO 81 ) & THEREBY TO ENABLE THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE ITS FINAL PACKAGE ANNOUNCEMENT ANY TIME DURING AUGUST.

PURSUANT TO THE STATEMENT MADE BY THE HON'BLE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FINANCE ON THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE ON 20 JULY, 2021 ......
THE IBA COMMITTEE CONVENED A ,MEETING WITH ALL THE CONSTITUENTS OF WORKING UNIONS , & RECORDED THEIR VIEWS ON 22 JULY, 2021.
FURTHER, IT IS WELL WITHIN THE KNOWLEDGE OF EVERYBODY, THE IBA-MOF/DFS COMMITTEE TOO SEEM TO HAVE ALREADY FINALIZED THE REPORT CONCERING THE PENSION REVISION ON 12 JULY, 2021 ITSELF .& THE SAME IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN PLACED BEFORE THE GOVERNMENT ENCLOSING THEREWITH THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 22 JULY 2021 BETWEEN THE IBA & WORKING UNIONS.
THUS, THE STATEMENT MADE BY THE HON'BLE MINISTER ON 20 JULY, 2021 NOW STANDS COMPLIED WITH BOTH BY IBA & MOF-DFSTO PAVE A CLEAR WAY FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO ANNOUNCE PENSION REVISION FOR THE LAMENTING RETIREES - IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
CONSIDERING THE ABOVE, I AM VERY HAPPY TO SHARE WITH YOU ALL THAT THE TURN OF EVENTS OF LATE , INDICATE THAT , THINGS ARE MOVING TOWARDS POSITIVE DIRECTION AT AN ACCELERATED VELOCITY & AT ANY TIME WE WILL SOON HEAR THE GOOD NEWS TO BRING SOLACE TO THE LAMENTING RETIREE FRATERNITY WITH THE DIVINE BLESSINGS OF MATHA KANAKA DURGA ... Friends,
I put the entire episode in chronological order .
1. IBA constituted a committee to review the pension updation issue at the instance of MOF
--- Unions were not consulted
2. Agenda for committee was settled by IBA
--- Unions were not consulted
3. Committe finalised the report without consulting or seeking suggestion of unions
4. Committee held a meeting on 12th July with IBA and finalised the report.
--- Unions were nowhere
5. BA called the unions to hold a meeting with the committee on 22nd July
--- Unions only submitted its demands which were patiently heard by the committee.
6. Unions , after the meeting expressed dissatisfaction -- Why
--- Because they were ignored every time and they know their charter of demand will have no value and committee will recommend on only updation issue ,family updation and also 100 percent DA merger
7. It is perceived that a simple note will be added in the report regarding unions opinion and will be submitted to MOF.
Now it is further perceived that very soon we will hear a good news
