"It is true that our pension issues will be resolved soon due to hard labour put in by hundreds of activists throughout India for SBI & PSB pensioners.
IBA has beautifully handled the situation on 22/07/2021 on the directions of F.M & DFS where there were no negotiation with the federations, other than hearing their views. The Federations were given a raw deal since so far they have not evinced any interest to resolve our pension issues which are long outstanding over 35 years.
This gross injustice will not happen in any industry, despite various judgements by S.C itself. If they would have given pressure at industry level to Government, these issues would have been solved long back. They do not have mind in it. They were interested only on serving employees, levy foremost in their minds.
The government is very well convinced of our legitimate issues, understood the discriminatory tactics adopted by Federations, creating a wedge between serving and retired employees, forgetting the hard labour and the draconian efforts put in by their earlier veterans under whom these people were trained, in building a very strong edifice of Bank Unions/Associations, upon which the feeble unions now stand, losing their bargaining power.
I join with lakhs of pensioners of SBI & PSB vociferously thank the F.M, DFS & IBA for convening a meeting with Federations on 22/07/2021 and thereby trust for early resolutions of all our decades old pension issues.
God is on our side and hope to get good news soon.
