RE: PENSION REVISION... OUR LONG JOURNEY IN PURSUIT OF JUSTICE - CALENDER OF EVENTS - PART - II
THIS IS FURTHER IN CONTINUATION TO MY FOLLOWING COMMUNICATION OF 8 JULY, 2021 WHEREIN I EXPLAINED THE EVENTS CHRONOLOGICALLY, THE WAY WE HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE UNMINDFUL OF THE INDIFFERENT ATTITUDE OF THE IBA/UFBU FOR OVER TWO DECADES -VIZ:

OUR LONG CRUSADE FOR JUSTICE HAS ULTIMATELY TURING OUT TO BE A GROUND REALITY WITH THE COMMITTED SUPPORT OF SOME OF OUR ACTIVE COMRADES WHICH YOU ARE QUITE AWARE OF.
THIS IS ONLY POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF THE COMMITTED EFFORTS OF CERTAIN INDIVIDUAL COMRADES BY VIRTUE OF THEIR CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE POWER CIRCLES.
AS A CONSEQUENCE, WE COULD SUCCESSFULLY "TURN THE TABLES IN OUR FAVOUR " BY EXERTING PRESSURE ON IBA /MOF FROM TIME TO TIME , THAT RESULTED IN FAST TURN OF EVENTS IN QUICK SUCCESSION AS DETAILED OUT HEREUNDER:
CONSIDERING THE ABOVE, I AM VERY HAPPY TO SHARE WITH YOU ALL THAT THE TURN OF EVENTS OF LATE , INDICATE THAT , THINGS ARE MOVING TOWARDS POSITIVE DIRECTION AT AN ACCELERATED VELOCITY & AT ANY TIME WE WILL SOON HEAR THE GOOD NEWS TO BRING SOLACE TO THE LAMENTING RETIREE FRATERNITY WITH THE DIVINE BLESSINGS OF MATHA KANAKA DURGA ... YET ANOTHER CRUCIAL MEETING WAS ALSO HELD ON 12 JULY, 2021 EXCLUSIVELY BETWEEN THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE IBA & MOF/DFS ONLY TO FINALISE THE REPORT WITH REVISED LOAD OUTLAY BY TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE ENHANCED AVERAGE LIFE-SPAN OF THE PENSIONERS (71 TO 81 ) & THEREBY TO ENABLE THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE ITS FINAL PACKAGE ANNOUNCEMENT ANY TIME TOWARDS THIS MONTH END.
LET US THEREFORE, PRAY THE ALMIGHTY FOR BLESSINGS OF SOOTH & SOLACE TO THE LAMENTING LOT OF THE RETIREE FRATERNITY

Meeting of the Committee to review the Pension Scheme in Banks
In context with the residual issues signed as supplementary minutes on 10th December, 2020 with Workmen Unions/BKSM and IBA, we wish to inform you that a Committee has been formed at IBA to review the pension scheme in banks under the Chairmanship of Shri CH.S.S. Mallikarjuna Rao, MD & CEO, Punjab National Bank. The other members of the Committee are as under:-
Shri M V Rao, MD & CEO, Central Bank of India - Vice – Chairman
Shri Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh, DMD (HR) & CDO, SBI - Member
Shri Shanti Lal Jain, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda - Member
Shri Debasish Mukherjee, Executive Director, Canara Bank - Member
2. It has now been decided to hold a meeting of the Committee with the Workmen Unions/BKSM(except BEFI) on Thursday, 22nd July, 2021 at 11.30 am. through Video conference . The link shall be shared 15 minutes prior to the meeting.
3. We request you to make it convenient to attend the meeting and share valuable inputs to the Committee.

Dear Sirs ,
Meeting on Pension Revision on 22.7.21 with IBA
On subject cited above, we make our submissions as under for your kind consideration & appropriate action :
1 . The Bank Pensioners are aware of your views in Pension revision matter. None of you have ever been sincere, serious and honest in pursuing pension revision matter in past*.
2 . As the fact stands, meeting of 22nd July, 2021 is summoned by IBA making Pension revision as it's agenda .
3 . It's really very unfortunate scenario in Banking trade union movement that IBA, means representative organization of Bank Management, is convening this meeting making Pensioners' issues as it's agenda, while it was desired to be the agenda of Unions.
4. The Bank Pensioners are very apprehensive and suffer from fear, looking to your track record of ignoring them, that you may play foul, produce hurdle, try to drag this issue as against the will and wish of Pensioners to have immediate resolution on RBI line.*
5 . For the God sake, be merciful to aging, ailing, dying Pensioners whose pension has never been revised since fixed on superannuation and do not take any such stand that goes against the immediate Pension Revision. Please don't be biased and prejudice on Pensioners' cries, angers, outbursts etc or annoyed on why FM spoke her views in revision context in media or in IBA meeting.*
6. We know, you feel disgraced because of her intervention. You take it as an attempt to interfere in your domain. You are definitely disgraced, being natural human phenomenon, which you please overcome & control, show your magnanimity and help settle decades old pension revision issue even at this belated stage.
7. Hope, you take it in right earnest and don't bulldoze it under ego & your high headedness, autocratic and dictatorial attitude. Please come out with clear intention to resolve pension revision, keeping in mind that it's an integral part of service conditions and no settlement is complete settlement without pension revision.
