THE SELECT COMMITTEE (SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION ) OF THE PARLIAMENT IS SCHEDULED TO MEET ON 30th.JUNE, 2021 (15:00 hrs.) FOR BRIEFING BY THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE (DEPT.OF FINANCIAL SERVICES) GOVT. OF INDIA AND THOSE CONNECTED ORGANISATIONS ON THE FOLLOWING SUBJECT :
" EXAMINATION OF REGULATIONS FRAMED BY BANK OF BARODA, UCO BANK, INDIAN OVERSEAS BANK, BANK OF MAHARASHTRA, & BANK OF INDIA UNDERSECTION 19 OF THE BANKING (ACQUISITION AND TRANSFER OF UNDERTAKINGS) ACT 1970 (As amended from time to time)"
THE ABOVE MEETING IS IN THE WAKE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S PROPOSED MOVE OF AMALGAMATION / PRIVATISATION OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED BANKS.
AMONG OTHER THINGS, AS PER THE ABOVE AGENDA, THE OFFICIALS OF MOF/DFS WOULD APPRAISE THE PARLIAMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS OF THE IMPLICATIONS OF SEC. 19 OF THE ABOVE ACT
Section 19(1) of Act 5 of 1970/1980 says.

Dear fellow members,
As we understand an important meeting of the select committee (Subordinate Legislation)of the parliament is scheduled to take place on 30.06.2021 in connection with Privatisation of Banks and its effects on our long pending demands of pension updation and revision of family pension.
It is well known fact that the referred committee is high power committee of parliament and capable to take decisions and their recommendations are more or less binding on Government.
We found opportunities to raise our voices through Members of the committee and submitted a well draft memorandum to Chairman and all its committee members.
As one of the senior and strong member Shri Ram Kripal Yadav, MP is of Patna.
To avail the opportunity I as President along with three AIBRAF members today fixed appointment and full length discussion regarding our concerns was held with Sri Ram Kripal Yadav Ji and submitted a copy of memorandum directly addressed to him. Mr MP heard patiently and assured me and our team that he will raise his voice of our concerns strongly during the meeting.
Let us hope better.
If our concerns are voiced by members of the committee, it will open a new window to proceed for further action and persuasion.
A copy of memorandum is hereby attached for information to our esteemed members.
AIBRAF will left no alternative but to hammer and fight to finish.
