The details of calculations are yet to be communicated to all the concerned. Among others, whether the component of commutation is reckoned or not is also not known. The Supreme Court Judgment is silent on this aspect. However, by virtue of the fact, that the apex court has upheld the judgment of Karnataka High Court, wherein the judgment has explicitly made it clear to pay the arrears together with commutation THERON. Our affiliate from Canara Bank has successfully taken up the matter with their management as already communicated by their General Secretary, Com.Srinivasan. Under the circumstances, I have now addressed a detailed letter to the management of Syndicate Bank to clarify on this point.
