Why “CHARACTER CERTIFICATE”  is required for Applying for admission and/or Employment ?

In British period Character Certificate was asked to produce from any Ist Class gazetted   Officer [ i.e. a Senior British Officer] as an unofficial recommendation for giving employment in Government Sector to control the employment of Indians in Govt. Job. Why such tradition has been going on till Today?

 

Do you know some Gradated Officers are asking money for the same ?

Do you know how the poor and village people, who have no source are suferred for the same? 

 

Why  “PARENTS’ INCOME”, “CASTE” and  “RELIGION” is asked for admission in school/colleges ?  

 

How a child of street-beggar or poor child can take admission in Schools directly or through NGO, if admissions criteria is fixed on  “PARENT’S INCOME”, “CASTE” and  “RELIGION”? Is this not against the Constitution ? What is the motive to ask such questions?
