Kumbakonam (KMU)is one of the most important Pilgrim and tourist Centre in Tamilnadu, locted in the Tiruchchirappalli Division of Southern Railway. Famous Mahamaham Festival which attracts over 50 lakshs of pilgrims is celebrated in this town once in twelve years. It stores hundreds of celebrated temples of all form of worship such as saivait, vaishnavait and Madhva tradition.
