Dear Dog Lovers,

At present we have havoc in the Qld greyhound racing industry.

Investigations and enquiries are ongoing, importantly, but no matter what the outcome is, we must remember “It’s not the dog’s fault”  They have done nothing wrong, and most are still gentle and quiet hounds.

Many Australians have already opened their hearts to greyhounds and have welcomed these retired dogs into their homes. However, due to the extremely high number of these beautiful dogs that have been acquired because of unexpected influx, many are now facing an uncertain future, and are in need of desperate assistance.  GAP – The Greyhound Adoption Program -an initiative of Racing Queensland, is at it’s maximum capacity, currently holding 80 greyhounds, and there are more are arriving daily. 

Understaffed and underfunded the recent problems have left many hounds with undetermined futures.

You can you help! 

First please sign our petition to assist in the request urgently needed funds required to help care for these beautiful animals…

Perhaps consider adopting or fostering a Greyhound or two, to share the love in your home with them.

Write an email in support of the cause to the Queensland Racing Minister, The Hon Bill Byrne at agriculture@ministerial.qld.gov.au expressing the desperation of the situation and how some much needed funds would make a huge difference.

Schweppes, Hyundai, McDonalds, Bendigo Bank, Macro Meats and others have already withdrawn their sponsorship from Greyhound Racing perhaps they would consider providing some much needed support in helping to save these wonderful animals.
