The ‘Turn Damage to Scenic Image: Conceal Vandalized Walls with Recycled Waste in Bagong Ilog, Pasig City.’ petition is made to somehow solve the problems about Vandalism on walls and throwing too much waste in Pasig City, particularly in Barangay Bagong Ilog. People like Homeowners, Apartment Dwellers, School children, Senior Citizens, Employers, Employees, Government officials, General Public, Educators, Tourists, and Artists who wish to take a step in helping the environment and making Bagong Ilog’s vandalized walls picturesque, can support and sign this petition. If the petition is supported and signed, some trashes from Bagong Ilog that would be recycled, could be used for the better, as it covers up vandalized walls.

Too much garbage can be seen around Pasig City, even if it is also known as ‘The Green City,' garbages can still be seen everywhere, like trashes on the roads, vandalism on the walls, and most popular water-polluted river, Pasig River. The people who live in the city produce a lot of garbages, so why not recycle them? This petition will decrease the amount of trash that can be seen around Pasig City, and it also helps reduce pollution. Vandalized walls in Bagong Ilog will be covered by artistically made masterpieces which are made from wastes that will be turned into recycled material.

Aside from environmental effects, it also has impact on people which is mainly focused on mental health and stress, especially to those who will do the artwork and those who will see it. As it is said in certain studies, Art could alleviate stress and help in mental health problems. Art is a great source of relaxation, especially for artists because they can express themselves through art. Art can also give comfort to those who can see it, and some might be inspired to do the same movement in their own city.

As of April 2021, we are still experiencing a pandemic and the first thing that will be required of those who are willing to participate in this movement is for them to wear facemasks and face shields, one-meter social distancing will also be monitored for safety protocols. The members will also encourage other people to join, especially those who are near Bagong Ilog, Pasig City. This petition will also be shared on social media platforms wherein it can be seen by a lot of people from different places, donations are also available for some people who want to help but are far from Pasig City. We believe that other people might want to do the same in their own location and taking an action in helping the environment and beautification of the City is never too late. This movement might start in Bagong Ilog, Pasig City, but hopefully, other Cities, other regions, and other countries will take an action too.
